I have written a lot of articles about solo female travel tips, and why every woman should travel alone. But, I am often asked “Where is it safe to travel alone?”

There are some places that are more dangerous than others, but the rest of the world isn’t as scary as you might think. You can feel secure and safe in many places around the globe if you have a positive attitude.

These are the 10 safest places for solo female travelers.

Iceland

Solo travel in Iceland is easy and comfortable, despite the fact that it’s called “The Land of Fire & Ice”. Reykjavik’s nightlife and music scene are well-known, so it is easy to meet locals and other travelers.

Although there are many reasons to visit Iceland you should not overlook her natural beauty. You can join a tour to snorkel, dive or hike the Silfra Fissure. Don’t forget to take a dip in the Blue Lagoon.

Interlaken and the Swiss Alps are a must-see when visiting Switzerland in winter. Bern is a great place to spend the day admiring stunning architecture.

Geneva was a favorite spot of mine during my recent summer in Europe. It has access to the lakeshore and the jet d’eau, Parc du la Grange, as well as other amenities that allow you to immerse yourself in Swiss culture.

Namibia is a great destination for road trips and is open all year. It’s home to stunning coastlines and deserts. This is one of my favourite Africa trips.

Sossusvlei, located in the largest conservation area in Africa, is stunning. My first trip to Namibia was seven days of road-tripping through Namibia. My second trip to Namibia was a two-day road trip that included the Skeleton Coast, Spitzkoppen Lodge and the Skeleton Coast.
